Tonight we have got some fantastic recipes to teach you all - some great ideas for summer parties, some classics the Honestly Healthy way and some soul warming home comforts. All healthy, alkaline recipes with your body in mind.
Come along to 220 Brompton Road tonight from 7pm.
See you there!

As some of you will know, it is National Vegetarian Week next week - there is so much going on in celebration and we at Honestly Healthy are very much getting involved.
Whatever your reasons for being a vegetarian, whether it be for the sake of the animals, the environment or both, there is no denying that vegetarianism is a healthier option. In celebration, we have got some real corker recipes on the menu for our events next week - some direct from the new book, some of which we have developed especially for Veg Week. Either way we are beating our drums about all of all the right ways to eat - for our animals, our earth, our health and our TASTEBUDS!

Sri Lankan detox
Leaving on a jet plane was the theme tune going round as finally put my out of office on for 10 days. I was off to the airport to get pampered for 10 days i couldn't wait! I took my fridge fill with me on the plane as i didn't want to eat the plane food.
I met my boyfriend at the airport and off we went! It was a long flight but when you get of the plane and you feel that heat wash over you, you forget all about the 11 hours of being cramped up.
When we arrived we signed with relief - the view was stunning. We put our bags in our (very hot) room and headed down to the beach to get our feet in the sand and wash off the long journey.
Dinner was a buffet and utterly delicious the food was a vegetarians dream - full of flavour and different.
Our night sleep was not great as the room was boiling - no air conditioning - they say that when doing Ayuvedic medicin your body must not cool down. Well i need to be cool when i sleep so we moved rooms to one of the few air -conditioned rooms thank goodness.
We had our consultation with the doctor and were told to come back for our treatments later in the afternoon. Every day i was massaged to an inch of my life, oil smothered onto my body till my skin felt like a babies bottom. The downside was the herbs that we had to drink, some of them i literally had to hold my nose like a child!
My boyfriend who has never detoxed before felt the effect immediately, looking back i just got very emotional! Unfortunately my blood pressure was so low (perhaps that is a good thing i was so relaxed) that i could not do a few of the treatments that were recommended to me, however I think that if you regularly detox i think that you should go for the recommended amount of 3-4 weeks but if you are new to all of this then 10 days will defiantly make your eyes sparkle and give you much more energy.
We both lost half a stone and felt rested, brighter, less bloated and ready to get stuck back into work so the 10 days at Barberyn Resorts was so worth the long trip - especially that we got upgraded on the way home!
