Radiance Green Smoothie

In this video I show you how to make the perfect radiance enhancing green smoothie to help you flow through a Sweaty Betty workout. The Fly Flex Flow workouts by Sweaty Betty are a wonderful way to get the body moving but they really do need to be nutritionally supported and this wonderful smoothie can help support the Flow part of your workout. I have also created 2 other amazing recipes to support their Fly and Flex workouts including a boosting creamy porridge and a protein packed green fritter and you can get the recipes here.

I think blood oranges are so under used. If you can't find any, try using grapefruit as they are so incredibly juicy and sweet at this time of year - really alkaline too. Note: The chia seeds will thicken the smoothie if you leave it to sit for a while. Just add more water and stir if it gets too thick. Remember to try and drink your green smoothies within 4 hours of blitzing.

  • 50g cucumber, roughly chopped
  • 100g spinach leaves
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 50g banana
  • 50g blood orange
  • 1/4 tsp spirulina (we love Organic Burst)
  • 1 tincture of liquid Chlorophyll (optional)
  • 250ml water or coconut water
  • 180ml alkaline/filtered water
Place all of the ingredients into a high speed blender and blitz until smooth.
