That Festival Look With Makeup Artist Wendy Rowe
is a makeup artist to the stars and knows a thing or two about the best products for our skin and soul. She always has her finger on the buzzer about new products and places to try so we asked her a few questions about getting that summer festival look.
1. What are your three festival make-up staples and why?
A bold lipstick is perfect for a low maintenance look. Again, suncream is important so I like this one from Dr Sebagh
as it’s also anti-pollution. Also, a quick fix for keeping hands clean is Jao’s Refresher
hand sanitizer; it smells great and doesn’t leave your skin dry.
2. Who is your festival style idol?
It has to be Kate Moss! She’s effortlessly cool and is still ahead of all the trends. She was the first to start wearing Hunter
wellington boots paired with tiny shorts and waistcoats; year’s later people are still in Hunters.
3. Do you have a top tip for beautifying festival hair?
Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray
is perfect for festivals, as it smells great, gives amazing natural texture to the hair, and acts as a dry shampoo too – the perfect multitasker!
4. What is the easiest and most effective way to cleanse the skin at a festival?
I like Yes to
facial wipes, as they’re gentle for all types of make up, cleanse well and nourish the skin with cucumber extracts.
And finally, a little tip from team HH would be to take some healthy snacks with you - try these Apricot & Chia Protein Balls
. So delicious and packed with energy.
