Rana's Nearly Rye
Nearly Rye is our version of Rye. It is of course not actually Rye, but this is a fantastic alternative to the famous European dark bread. This is a moderate rising loaf, moist in the middle and crusty on the outside.
Our blend of flour creates crusty, moist bread with rich flavour and is slow to go stale. Our bread tastes great, and is so easy to bake. Just add water, mix by hand and bake in the oven in folded parchment paper (En Papillote). No kneading needed!
- Ingredients: potato starch, rice flour, tapioca flour, buckwheat flour, teff flour, sorghum flour, caraway seeds, cane sugar, salt, xanthan gum, fennel seeds, instant yeast, juice powder.
- Allergy advice: Gluten free, wheat free, egg, nut, soy and dairy free
- 240g (makes a small loaf, perfect for 1-2 person household. Buy 2 packs for a large family sized loaf)

A powerhouse of nutrients. Sorghum has many health benefits. It can help prevent certain types of cancer, is good for digestion and is high in anti-oxidants. Teff has a high fibre content, and low GI level, which is helpful for diabetics. Whilst Buckwheat is a superfood with links to lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
