Raw Chocolate Orange Balls

Serves: 12 balls | Prep time: 10 minutes | Freezing time: 1 hour | Skill: Easy

Ingredients

175g dates
zest of 1 orange (keeping some back to garnish)
1tbsp lucuma or maca powder (optional)
1 tbsp cacao powder
60g desiccated coconut
4tbsp melted coconut oil
1tbsp orange blossom
3tbsp ground almonds
2tbsp chia seeds

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse together the dates, orange zest, lucuma (or maca) powder, cacao powder, coconut oil and orange blossom.
  2. Next, add the ground almonds and chia seeds and pulse again until combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into balls about the size of a ping pong ball. You can then roll them in the remaining orange zest and desiccated coconut seeds to coat them.
  4. Place them into the fridge for 1-2 hours to set, keeping them there until you want to eat them
